Had time to try a few things this morning – what background suits my flowers best when color and what when black and white. For the colored ones I like the white background best – it focuses on the shape of the flower most. In the black and whites, the black background is also very effective. Duly noted! Now I have to find out how to control shutter speed and aperture on my new camera. I’ve always been the lazy photographer that relied on the ‘auto’ setting – but things are about to change.
