Walked along the river from Ridderkerk to Rotterdam recently. Very interesting, for it is here that the mood of the river changes from picture-postcard-perfect (windmills at Kinderdijk) to urban sprawl to inner city abstraction. All within 10 kilometers – amazing.

Went back by ferry to our starting point, I used the ferry windows to make some abstract images of what is a very abstract landscape to begin with.
