Worked on a commission these past few weeks – check my blog post titled Indulgence. It was so great working with fabrics again! It’s in my genes: female forebearers all nifty hands with the needle. I love the trance-like state that sewing by hand induces.

Anyway, I designed and executed the settee covers you see on the picture below. I used to do patchwork – like the idea of storing memories that way. Worked out a different technique this time, a way of working that makes the surface of the settee three-dimensional and very inviting to the touch. Mission accomplished I must say – everybody touches.

Will finish this set over the christmas holiday, adding a 45 x 45 x 30 bench.
