Last night I had a brainwave – why not lose the ‘visual-art-research’ text in my header – nobody, including myself, understands why it is there anyway. Way long ago in 2009 I was at school doing research so I thought it would be a nice name for my blog. In the meantime the blog has proven to be my intensely valuable external memory. So why not give that pride of place?

Realising this necessitated a little tinkering with the PHP code, a thing I usually enjoy. And serendipity struck! No idea why, but on one of my pages the words ‘if you don’t write it down, it never happened’ appeared instead of the page title. This, my friends, was A Sign! So I tinkered some more, and all of my pages now have suitable subtitles. Nice!
