Concentration
Four new sets of geo-gedichten (geo-poems) – we’ve had marvelous weather and been on the water a lot. I noticed that creating poems intensified my looking, listening, smelling the landscape in a way that making photographs does not – interesting. Photos more of a fire-and-forget thing, composing text requires a more continuous concentration. Interesting that with just a few geographical elements (route, cities) the thing has the ‘feel’ of a map …
