Agora

The rebuild-the-dom-church people have been in touch & they are interested in my proposal. I blogged before about Dom Square in Utrecht and my desire to use my big chalks there to promote discussion about rebuilding the ship of the cathedral. I’m meeting with the ‘rebuild’ people next week to discuss options.

Ideally I’d invite a number of the Great and the  Good to use my crayons to mark the ship’s perimeter and start a discussion about the whole project with the citizens – after all, what is a square for? The ancient greeks used to have their main square, the Agora, at the heart of their decision-making process for the Polis, the city-state they invented.
