Mini Galaxy in all its glory – part wall hanging, part couch. Displaying it like this was a brainwave – true to the original idea of Galaxy not being stand-offish. And now I’m an artist with a work commissioned and on a wall – making objects does have its advantages. It has its  disadvantage,s too – making the object  sort of pins the original idea down, immobilizes it. I may be more in love with the idea of a work than with its actual realization. Which is very, very conceptual. Whatever happened to thinking with one’s hands? Went out of the door when I chartered helping hands – well that’s an idea to chew on for a while …..
