Bewigged

The Huis Marseille (visited last wednesday) had shores like you by Scarlett Hooft Graafland, featuring  exotic landscapes with people in strange contortions and combinations. Visually appealing, not very curious-making,

On the side was work by Zanele Muholi. One of the works stuck: Somnyama IV, Oslo, 2015. The image of the Sun King – Louis XIV – re-created and contrasted: black-white, male-female, nude-clothed, present-past. As these things go, I kept seeing bewigged people all over the town of Amsterdam – check the last image below.
